QHSE Officer Job Responsibilities
As a QHSE Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving safety and quality standards within the organization. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Implementing and Maintaining QHSE Standards
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Develop and update company-wide health and safety policies.
Conduct regular internal audits to maintain compliance.
2. Risk Assessment and Management
Identify potential workplace hazards and recommend preventive measures.
Conduct detailed risk assessments for various operational processes.
Investigate workplace incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
3. Training and Employee Awareness
Conduct safety training sessions for employees.
Develop awareness programs on QHSE best practices.
Ensure all employees comply with regulatory safety guidelines.
4. Customer and Stakeholder Relations
Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure safety measures are adhered to.
Address customer concerns regarding health, safety, and environmental issues.
Maintain strong relationships with government regulatory bodies.
5. Documentation and Compliance Reporting
Maintain up-to-date records of HSE policies, safety incidents, and compliance reports.
Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities.
Ensure all safety-related documentation is accurate and accessible.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for the QHSE Officer position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Degree or Diploma (minimum 3 years) in a relevant field
2-3 years of experience in QHSE management
Strong knowledge of risk management and hazard prevention
Experience in integrated management system processes
Excellent customer relations and communication skills
Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (added advantage)
Experience in the facilities management sector (preferred but not mandatory)
UAE Driving License (preferred for on-site inspections)
